about

Johanna-Adele Jüssi's "Kiilid" ("Dragonflies") is the embodiment of the joy of playing together with Jo Einar Jansen (NO), Sven Midgren (SE), Nicolaj Wamberg (DK) and Jalmar Vabarna (EE), which has been experienced during the last few years, captured on the cd by the producer Antti Järvela (FI), mastered by Minerva Pappi (FI).

"It is a coincidence that all the Scandinavian countries are presented on the album but it can be explained by the fact that during my studies at the Nordic Master in Folk Music, I spent half a year in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway, getting to know the local music and musicians, finding kindred spirits and people to play with, letting the musical explorations fascinate me and discovering a lot about my own heritage," Johanna explains.

The album includes music from Denmark, the Estonian islands, the Estonian county Järvamaa, and also Johanna-Adele's own compositions which have been inspired by her travels, people who she has met on her journeys, the traces they have left behind and the ideas which cannot be shaken off anymore.
